Domaine A Cabernet Sauvignon Magnum 2007

Patience rewarded. After waiting over 18 years this wine has been plucked from the cellar and released in its prime. The nose is deliciously savoury with notes of black earth, forest floor, herbs, plum, blackberry, and chocolate. These elements carry beautifully to the palate which is velvety and balanced with supple tannin and a smooth rich mouthfeel - perhaps with a little more spice and oak showing.

This wine still has years to age, although we are releasing it now where we think it will be best enjoyed through the next 18 months. However, those with a desire for more development will see a gradual shift toward dried porcini mushroom and spicy leather characteristics if they choose to hold this longer. This vintage is showing slightly faster maturation of aromatics and flavours than some other flagship vintages.
