A mixed half dozen to celebrate the release of the 2019 Stoney Vineyard Pinot Noir. Includes a couple of somethings for everyone, and a six-bottle bag to carry it all in.
Stoney Vineyard Pinot Noir 2019
Garnet in a glass. Cherries, plums, leather and bramble fruits, plus plenty of spice. A plump, well-balanced wine showing mounds of red fruit and a bright, jammy afterglow. It’ll drink well with anything, but we’d suggest a picnic of barbecue chicken and sourdough straight from the oven.
Stoney Vineyard Cabernet Sauvignon 2016
A celebration of the terroir of Stoney Vineyard. Mixed spice up front, suggestions of new leather and warm earth, and a christmas-cake palate laden with fruit. There's fantastic structure and acidity, too. Plenty of cellaring potential, or drink it now with rich meats, mushroom and truffles.
Stoney Vineyard Sauvignon Blanc 2018
Fresh, verdant and refreshing. Flickering yellow and green in the glass, it welcomes you with crunchy green salad aromas: cucumber, green capsicum and new asparagus, before a fruit-pop palate of cantaloupe, honeydew and passionfruit. The sweetness is balanced with pleasing acidity and intensity, and a satisfying finish. Pair with soft cheese and sunshine.
