A wine of absolute dedication, the 2009 Domaine A Cabernet Sauvignon originates with the ancient, cool-climate terroir of Stoney Vineyard.
Entirely hand-picked from old estate vines, only the finest parcels of fruit are selected for inclusion in the rigorous, uncompromising small-batch winemaking process—open vat fermentation, regular racking, hand plunging and extended time on lees. Maturation takes place over three years in 100% new French Oak barriques, followed by another four years (or more) resting in the cellar before being assessed for release.
Aromatics of cherry blossom, blackberry and clove mingle with whispers of cedar and a palate of ripe dark cherry and cassis characters. Fine tannic structure and a perfect natural balance build to a fresh, brilliant finish. A remarkable wine with a proven record of critical acclaim.
